Rockefeller was a leading advocate for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which has provided health care for more than 8 million children across the country.
The Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit, which Rockefeller has backed since the early 1990s, have together provided $7.3 billion to families in West Virginia, he said at Friday’s roundtable at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston.
