The Fayette Tribune – No churches, no citizens groups, no environmental organizations, no education organizations, no community development organizations, no responsible economic development/ sustainability organizations, no watershed organizations… no one else. The Summit is a 900-pound stranger who has only recently arrived in this state, has a doubtful record as a genuine community member and who has been persistent in clawing for special treatment while offering promises and trinkets to the community. Passing this amendment would be a blow to the already struggling Fayette County economy and school system by diverting commercial activity to that “no property tax” facility and away from all the hardworking people and businesses who do pay property taxes. They want it all for free and they want the rest of us to pay for it.
