Earlier this month, the Senate passed its version of the bill 31-1 and the House of Delegates, 89-5. The final Senate vote approving the House version of the bill was 20-14.
Brian M. Peterson, a lawyer in the Martinsburg office of Bowles Rice, issued a statement arguing the new minimum wage law will cause major problems for West Virginia employers.
