West Virginia is ranked as the worst state in the United states. The study focused on two areas: Job market statistics and economic environment studies.
In July, the state’s jobs report showed a concerning decline in West Virginia. The July 2025 jobs report from WorkForce West Virginia states that in one month the civilian workforce lost 7,600 people and 4,400 jobs were eliminated.
