WCHS – West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice has called a special session of the Legislature for Monday at noon. The governor wants senators and delegates to consider his plan to cut the state’s personal income tax by 10%.

For quite some time, Justice has been promoting cutting or eliminating the state’s personal income tax as a way to spur businesses to invest in and encourage people to move to West Virginia. Next week he takes another swing with his proposal to cut the tax by 10%.
The special session coincides with the July interim schedule so lawmakers were already going to be at the Capitol.
