House Finance Sends Budget Bill To Full Chamber

The committee recommended House Bill 4027, its own version of the state budget, to the full House of Delegates Thursday. The bill maintains Gov. Patrick Morrisey’s proposed general revenue budget of close to $5.5 billion. 

The presentation of the committee substitute of the bill highlighted:

• Higher education funding formula is provided for 
• retains the governor’s proposed 3% pay raise for public employees
• 3% increase to the employer share of PEIA
• ¾ year of Hope Scholarship funding
