Big Jim’s Numbers are Not Adding Up

Beckley Register-Herald, Fayette Tribune – Gov. Forget that the announcement came all of a sudden. It was as if Justice and his top advisors had just got around to thinking about funding a 15% Medicaid reimbursement rate hike for providers who would then pass the money along to remarkably dedicated care providers who do the work that too few are willing to take up. Those selfless people give of themselves to help the least among us, and they earn a pittance – $11 an hour, which translates to $22,880 a year.

We’d tell the governor “thanks,” but the words “What took you so long?” keep getting in the way.
