Amendment 2 Topic of Marshall County Town Hall

WTOV – Leaders in Marshall County hosted a town hall Wednesday in an effort to educate voters about decisions they will make when they cast their ballots on Nov. 8.

The event was hosted by the Marshall County Commission and Assessor’s Office and addressed the tens of millions of dollars the county could lose out on if Amendment 2 is passed.

“If Amendment 2 were to be passed, Marshall County would lose about a third of its property tax revenue,” said Sean O’Leary, with the West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy.
