Administration Says it Has a Plan for $114 Million State Gap on Medicaid Spending

“Sure we’ve got a shortfall in Medicaid right now. Stuff happens. I could have said something a whole lot worse than that, but stuff happens all the time. You’ve got to tend to it,” Justice said during a briefing today.

During interim meetings this week, West Virginia lawmakers got an overview of the financial situation with Medicaid, the joint federal and state program that helps cover medical costs for some people with limited incomes and resources.
