Last year’s session of the Legislature saw advancements regarding industrial hemp that could provide a new use for reclaimed mines, with former boxer and entrepreneur Mike Tyson looking to get involved.
During his 2019 State of the State Address, Gov. Jim Justice said one of his goals was to fix the state’s medical marijuana program, which had run into banking issues — chiefly finding a legal way to handle financial transactions.
