Groups including the West Virginia chapter of the AFL-CIO and West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy, as well as local employees and business owners, rallied Wednesday in front of the state capitol to thank state leaders for their action and call on Congress to do the same. The “Give America a Raise” bus tour also made a stop at the rally. However, capitol police made the bus move from its parking spot in front of the building before the rally began. Event organizers blamed that on a “miscommunication.”
