$330 Million and 400 Jobs Cut from West Virginia Due to DOGE

WVVA – The West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy reports that $330 million and 400 jobs have been cut in the mountain state at the hands of the Department of Government Efficiency.

“These reductions are already affecting public services and programs West Virginians rely on and are eliminating jobs in the state, but the speed and range of the cuts can make it hard to see a full picture of the impacts,” said the agency.

Among the cuts, the West Virginia Family Nutrition Program is expected to suffer. $4.1 million had been anticipated to be dispersed to the program annually. An estimated 60 jobs were also among the cuts to the program.
