Our Children, Our Future, comprised of dozens of groups and many individuals from across the state, will host a two-day policy symposium beginning Tuesday. The presentations will span a wide range of issues, including the importance of voting to stopping the proliferation of meth labs. About 400 West Virginians will convene on the state Capitol Tuesday and Wednesday — the Legislature will be in session for monthly interim meetings — to present policy proposals to lawmakers.

The group also will celebrate 14 accomplishments over the past two years, including a bill to raise the minimum wage that passed during the 2014 session and restoring cuts to programs aimed at helping children and families.
